on the side of the road

Today on the way home from school, i get a flat. on I-4. so im on the side of the road, the side with the fast lane, changing my tire. the tire was completly FLAT. there was no way i could even limp it home. it was about 2 miles from my house too. and the spare is alot smaller than the rest of the tires, so it looks kinda funny. ugh i was soooo MAD!! i ran over a screw that someone had managed to throw in the road! i had to jump on the crow bar to get the lug nuts loose, luckily it was the front drivers side so i had some protection from traffic, but i would have liked to have seen what i looked like kicking the tire. oh and when i got home i kicked it alot more. it was kinda funny looking back at it now. just not then. well i have to cut it short, cause im supposed to be studing i have another exam at 5. ehhhhh...

college: day 2

schedule:
university experience: 10am - 11:50am
composition 1: 12:30am - 1:45am
photography: 6pm - 8:50pm

yay i got to sleep in today, for a hour. parking was pretty icky this morning, could have been worse though. UE was kinda dull, all we did was go over the syllabus and we got out kinda early. but the professor was down to earth. comp 1 was in the same building and i had about an hour, not enough to do anything but wait. so i got to class pretty early. teacher also down to earth. we had to write an essay about our writting history. ok... then i had 4 hours to burn before my next class. i just went home and did h/w. then finaly i got to photo class. i thought the instructor was a student when he walked in, so hes pretty young. he seems like a cool guy. again syllabus, and we were only in class about 5o minutes. he said its gonna be about $350 for supplies; paper, film, etc. ughhhh...

over all not to shabby, another day down, and hopefully school will be closed tomorrow, because those are my big boring classes. and there so spaced out too. seriously, 3 classes starting at 8am and ending at 5:50pm. and two of them are 50 minutes and the other is 1hr 5o min. so thats a LOT of time to kill.

first day o'college

schedule:
chemistry I 8:00am-8:50am
anthropology 11:30am-1:12pm

wake up 5:30am. eeeeeeee....
leave bout 6:45
arrive at school 7:15
i got to class about 7:35 and waited for class to start. class wasnt too bad, the professor seems like a down to earth guy. but chemistry, not my strongest science...

then after that i started looking for my next class. its probably in the smallest building on campus. i looked for it for about 40 minutes. and walked around it probably 5 times. i found it on the map but i couldnt find it on campus! i had to ask for directions. so i finaly got to class about 9:30, yes i know now that i was 2 hours early but at the time, i looked at the NEXT days class and it started at 10. so i sat down, and the syllabus was passed out, and i looked and it did not say anthropology. i looked at the guy next to me, and asked "this isnt anthropology is it?" he looked at me and chuckled and said "no its not". so i got out of that class as fast as i could.

so i sat in the library and then moved to the book store and waited until 10:15 to start looking for my class again. all 350 of us managed to fit in the building. and he took roll. for all 350 students in the class... other than that, not bad, really long and i have to read the first chapter of my book before thursday. again not too bad, maybe a little dull but hey its better than math.

all in all, not too bad for the first day. i survived. only 4 days left and my first week of college will be over, and i will hopefully have a better idea of my schedule and not end up in a class 2 hours early. hehehehehe...

class schedule

oh boy, so it looks as though my first semester at USF is going to be a hard one. i have chemistry 4 days a week and twice in one day. ugh. and i have precalculus trigonometry, ehhhh, i havent even had any math classes in over a year, that is gonna be one HARD class to pass. thens theres composition one to fulfil my english requirment for this term. and i have university experience as most incomming freshmen do. and then theres introduction to anthropology. that class just seems dull to me. but it looks the most interesting of the classes that i can pick from in that subject area so whatever. but this full schedule also means one more thing that i am VERY happy about: i can't do fish runs anymore, no more going up to apollo beach for me, no more crazy (but nice) fish lady. although i will miss chatting with some of the clients.

back from NC

well i got back from north carolina tuesday at 4.30 in the morning. well we all had a pretty good time i think. the first day we went to the nantahala outdoor center where we got to ride the rapids down the natahala river, that was a good three hour trip. no but really it was fun, the rapids werent what you see advertised, but still it was rough in a few places. the only time we all fell, i mean jumped out, was on the very last section of rapids. and the water was about 50 degrees. boy it was cold. the next day we went to the smokey mountain national park. we hiked to the devil's chimney. WAY too high for me. not the hike, about two miles, but the height on top was about 50 ft shy of a mile high. on the way out of the park we got to see two elk. the first was a bull and he was just grazing in a meadow. that was really cool. he had a huge set of antlers and they were still growing (in velvet). we watched him for about 15 minutes, then left. about two minutes down the road, we saw a female and she was running towards the road but stopped. we just passed her since she was so close and kinda spooked already. well thats basically all we did. catch ya later

piercing, as in a new one

yep thats right, i finaly did it. silver hoop with a aball in the left cartilege about 3/4 of the way up. i was so nervous. but it only hurt when she poked me with the needle, before it broke the skin. i didnt even feel it go through. ewww that sounds gross. the 'how to care for your piercing' paper says it can take 6 to 12 months to heal! thats a really long time for something to heal. hahahaha im laughing at myself now. cause my dad said nothing until i asked and hes just glad its not a tattoo. for now. lol. mother said she is fine with it, but they were both shocked to see that i did it.

so how shocked are you?

registering

since i have been 18 for almost a year now, i thought i should probably register to vote. but i didnt want to take on a views that i didnt agree with. so i decided to do some research for myself.

first i looked into the Green Party. while there were a lot of things i liked, such as conservation of the oceans. but there were many things that i dont agree with, and those seem to be out weigh the good things. these included pro-choice and gay marriage. both are unbiblical, so no green party for me.
http://www.gp.org/

Next i decided to look into the Republican party. as far as education goes (kinda important as far since i am going to be a teacher and all) standardized test suck. all teachers teach to is FCAT, and dont have time for what they are supposed to be teaching. High schools are esp. held accountable for students who are reading and learning below grade level. i think that this problem should be addressed before highschool. and they promote, AP and IB programs which is awesome. the elephants support faith based programs such as a mentoring program for children of prisoners. they are also looking to reduce americas dependence of foreign oil, as well as looking for alternative sources of energy. and YAY! for homeland security and supporting our Military families. Support our Troops! Sounds good to me so far, nothing that i disagree with. oh yeah pro-life and oppose stem cell research.
http://www.rnc.org/

Democrats the anti-republicans. gee lets see, pro-choice, support stem-cell research. 'nough said, not for me. oh yeah and they dont support the war. now im not pro-war, but with no draft in effect, these BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN are giving there time and even lives to serve the USA. i say even if your not pro-war, we should still support our soliders.
http://www.democrats.org/

Well it looks like im going to be a Republican. if you have any other information on any of these or other parties, let me know. but give a source for your information. i used the Offical websites for the above parties.

excited about art

not much is going on. i got some new sharpies the today at like 2.30 am. post-midnight runs to walmart are always interesting. i got the new sharpies cause i dont know how much longer my old set will last. but wait theres more! i went from a 12 color ultra fine point set to a 24 color set with two sizes ultra fine point and regular sharpie size. im excited. also i decided to retire my sketchbook, but only after i finish one last peice in it. i started on it about a week ago, and i got artist's cramp. i just dont know how to finish it. so im open for suggestions. ill try to atleast get a link on here if i cant get a picture of it. oh yes as i was saying, im retiring my sketch book because it was a high school sketch book, and i think that i should get a new one for starting college, even if i didnt fill in all the pages. so now im also excited about getting a new sketchbook. Yay! and im also excited about the collaberative sketchbook linnie started. so far the only ones who will be working in it are me linnie and linzi, but hopefully the group will grow. yay! i cant wait until its my turn to work on it! i wonder what they will put in it? i wonder what i am going to put into it? oh well i guess we'll see what inspires me then.
chow for now

PS- heres the link for the unfinished art:

Collide by Krystal Meyers

Like a spotlight that breaks into the darkness, like an arrow thats racing to its target, I got You in my sight, I am fixed on You. And I can feel You coming looking for me too.

Nothings gonna stop me cause I'm on a mission. I'm getting ready for a demolition. Collide, Crash into me, Collide. I want to be broken by You and made brand new. Collide.

In the after math of Your hurricane, it wont be what i lost or what i stand to gain. So bring your strom to me cause I know when its through the clouds will roll away and sky will turn to blue.

Nothings gonna stop me, I know what im doin', make something beautiful, from outa the ruin. Collide, crash into me, Collide. I want to be broken by You and made brand new.

Rearrange me. Only You can save me. Collide, Crash into me, Collide. I want to be broken by You and made Brand new. Collide, Crash into me, Collide. I want to be broken by You and made brand new. Collide. Collide. Collide. Collide.

a step in the right direction

Today i went, as planned, to go get my check. i planned on turning in my two week notice/quitting. when i got there she was on the phone with someone and it was a rather heated discussion. She was flustered when it was my turn to speak. But all that i could muster out was that my orientation was on the 3rd and 4th of aughust and i would get my schedule then and that i didnt know how work would play into it. she just said, almost snapped, 'we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.' i took my check and left it at that.

so i am still 'employed' as ever for whatever you want to call it. its not where i wanted to end up at, but atleast its a step in the right direction.

first

a hehehe first blogspot blog. lol. ill get the hang of it eventually.
