a step in the right direction

Today i went, as planned, to go get my check. i planned on turning in my two week notice/quitting. when i got there she was on the phone with someone and it was a rather heated discussion. She was flustered when it was my turn to speak. But all that i could muster out was that my orientation was on the 3rd and 4th of aughust and i would get my schedule then and that i didnt know how work would play into it. she just said, almost snapped, 'we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.' i took my check and left it at that.

so i am still 'employed' as ever for whatever you want to call it. its not where i wanted to end up at, but atleast its a step in the right direction.

I've been there. Sorry it's so rough for you. It will work out. There is a saying that you don't want to "burn your bridges". (no, not pants, that would be briches). Anyway, you never know when you'll need the references of people you've worked for/with so it's better to leave on a decent note. So, maybe what you did was exactly what God wanted you to do. When the time is right, you will know it! Trust the heart God put in you!
p.s. thanks for making a blogspot blog so I can read it!!!

I agree with Michele...perhaps this is how God wanted it done, because we prayed about it and asked God to lead you.
Welcome to Blogspot!! Yeah!!!!

Hang in there, Bro. I'm praying for you. Sounds like you did the right thing by not bringing anything up at that moment.

Your "Profile Picture" is Truly Cool.

I think if you would have worn the Charlie Tuna suit then things would have turned out a little different. Studies prove that managers/bosses are frightened by their employees who wear strange animal costumes.

However, considering your vast intellect and deep understanding of the mind of Fish Lovers, it sounds like you did the right thing. You never know, she may have tried to dunk you in a fish tank while thinking "this is the biggest FISHY I've ever seen!" (in a thick INDIAN accent)
